Open Doors

My alma mater, Barnard College, invited me back to curate and design the inaugural exhibition for the grand opening of the Milstein Center for Teaching and Learning. In addition to researching, writing, and designing the exhibit content, I also designed and installed the bespoke metal grid system and wooden display elements.

Open Doors, located on the first floor of the building, opened during the official gala celebrating the new library. Visitors took home copies of an exhibition catalog, as well as illustrated postcards.

Illustrations by Clare Drummond. Assisted by Francesca Carlos. Catalog printed by Small Editions. Thank you to Jenna Freedman, Meredith Wisner, and Arun Bryson for their support.

Various sketches and mockups of exhibition elements

The exhibition catalog had a textured foil-printed cover, a quarter-page insert, and a clear spiral binding. I worked with Brooklyn-based press Small Editions to print a limited run of 500 copies.
